Upon your baby’s first day of kindergarten
Hold onto the joy, and let go of your regrets. Praise the Lord for the gift it is to walk through another doorway of motherhood, over another starting line with your child's hand in yours.
Upon your wedding day
So the day is finally here when the babies of our two families take their steps to the altar and become their own family. There is much to say, much to remember on this holy and blessed day, a day I must confess I have been dreading for over a decade.
I’m running for you, brothers and sisters
Dear Bipolar friend, dear Mom or Dad of a bipolar kid, dear friend whose loved one died of madness, This morning as I sit in my bed dog-tired from a packed, heart-breaking, heart-soaring, traffic-filled yesterday, I struggle to find my way into writing. And then, I remember you. And I remember why I’m writing on weekends and nights, why I’m missing events and postponing regular visits with friends.
In Pursuit
I know now that the Son shines in winter, and joy breaks me open to see it.
He never lets go . . .
Here goes, y'all: time to finish. Time to just stinking obey this God who never lets go of me. He's my life raft in the drown, my light in the darkness. And I'm going to trust Him.
